Barton Street Classics
A photography show by Mohawk College professor, Rafael Ferreira documenting Hamilton’s forgotten and forlorn Barton Street.
Ferreira’s photos showcase the living museum of design and architecture that exists along this stretch. Signs of all kinds designed and more than likely manufactured in Hamilton survive above storefronts long ago shuttered. Buildings once heralded for their beauty and functionality sit underutilized and referred to by locals as ‘eyesores’.
No other street in Hamilton has so much and so little.
Please join us for the opening night on July 9, 2010 from 7-10pm as part of the James North Art Crawl.
A selection of framed and unframed prints along with limited edition catalogue booklets will be available for sale.
